![]() ![]() ![]() I know the caduceus is a symbol used/worn by certain medical personnel in the military, and one thread I found on another forum about a Colt. The caduceus is also on the right side of the frame, just in front of the cocking serrations and below the extractor, and on the barrel, visible through the ejection port. That's interesting, as I said, but my wife noticed something even more intriguing on a closer inspection: engraved/stamped on the opposite side of the frame is what appears to be a nurse's caduceus, followed by the number 77 and what looks like a branch of some kind right below the S&W symbol. What's a bit more interesting is, if you look at the first picture, what at first seems to be several scratches below the "Model 39-2" is in fact a name, "Kett", either stamped or engraved into the metal. I tried doing some research online, but couldn't find any helpful information. The first thing I was curious about was the manufacturing date. ![]() Hi! This is my first time on this forum, and I'm hoping to find some information on a beautiful S&W Model 39-2 that I just picked up yesterday. ![]()
